The student body of HDS, the faculty, and the community of NVU, in general, offer ways to promote social justice, to provide spiritual enrichment and support the development of leaders in their fields who will work for a more equitable world. With more than 35 student organizations and 500+ worship services, recurring, workshops and group meetings, the community of HDS is diverse and vibrant.
The many religions and spiritual traditions of the world are practiced both as a study in HDS, with amazing variety, texture, criticism, love, and devotion.
HDS supports holistically students both inside and outside the classroom. Students have access to many resources, personal and academic, and several opportunities for the participation in the community.
